Recently, in Sarajevo, a book entitled “Sevdalinka – the Alchemist of the Soul” has been published in Norway by Dr. Esad Bajtal. Sevdalinka as a cultural phenomenon of BiH space was created, as the author says, in the real-life reality that emerged from a specific mentality and cultural-historical identity.
How and where, who wrote the most beautiful verses of never forgotten love affairs, known and unknown, and whether Sevdalinka could be part of the intangible cultural heritage of this area under the protection of UNESCO, RSE reveals the author of the book.
